Terrific Kid/Scout Trip

I was pulling all Dylan's papers out yesterday when I found a letter to me stating he won the Terrific Kid award and would be awarded on April 29th.  I am so proud, this award goes to one kid out of every class every 6 weeks.  You earn it by being respectful and always using your manners around your peers and teachers, Just a general good attitude.   He is always telling me how he carries library books to the library, papers to the office or a sick child to the nurse.  He's such an amazing little human.  Way to go Dylan!

In other news, Camyryn's birthday party is this weekend.  It's going to a small, intimate get together with family and a few friends who have children her age.  I had to drive 20 miles to pick out the cake she wanted.  She didn't want Princesses only Ariel from the Little Mermaid "by herself" and I was able to find it after much looking around.  We bought her 2 pairs of shoes, 3 outfits, a magnetic wooden doll she can dress and that came with lots of accessories and a storage case, and a bike.  The doll will be a hit, I bought her a doll with snap on clothes after Christmas and she still plays with it.

Nathan is OK.  We went to Carowinds for the Adventure Base Camp thing.  The kids had so much fun.  I wish I had remembered to reapply the sunblock, we were all toasty.  We left before 9 and got home at 7 that night.  There was so much to do and some of the lines were maddening.  Camryn only got tired once so I walked her around the parking lot for about 20 minutes and then she was good again.  I think she was stressing over how loud the line was where we were standing.  We had to stand in this one line for an hour and a half so the boys could do the 'monkey gym' and we were right in front of the speakers while they were singing karaoke to Sugar Land.  It was horrible.  I was glad to get away.

We teamed up with Cindy and spent all day together.  Our boys are the same age and get along great.   Nathan and Collin are in 2nd grade and Dylan and Jason are in kindergarten.  Dylan and Jason will be Tiger scouts next year, I'm excited!

I loved all this Native American stuff.  I have strong Cherokee roots.

Jason walking the rope.

Then it was Dylan's turn.

Silly boys!

Playing a game crafted of sticks.  It was longgg.  Cindy and I made the mistake of sitting down and we realized then we were so tired. BUT The day was almost over.

We missed the horseback riding but we watched this girl ride around

My honey and our girl.

This trip was a once in a lifetime trip, it was there to celebrate 100 years of scouting.  I learned  so much about the history.  It was wonderful.

Happy Birthday Camryn!

My baby girl is 3 today. She was born 3 years ago today via my 3rd c-section. I was SO VERY happy to learn I was having a daughter, she has been an ABSOLUTE joy in my life. I don't want to imagine life without her.

What the hell just happened??!

She favors her daddy with my mouth, nose and ears. <3

I was drugged and in pain.  The c-section with her left me in the most amount of pain of all 3,  Probably combined. lol

The boys meeting their sister and as you can tell by their expressions aren't sure what to make of her!

But then... they fell in love with her and wanted to hold her all the time.

She was a very content baby BUT ALSO a very clingy baby.

Soon you were 1.

We spent many days outdoors, at parks and feeding the ducks at Milliken.  You love the outdoors.

We took a family vacation to the beach last May, you LOVED it.  I sat with you in the waves for what seemed like hours.  We had the best time.

We love you so much Camryn!  Happy 3rd Birthday!

Spring has Sprung

We had a great Easter. This is the best picture I took. She was looking for hidden eggs.

The older the kids the harder it is to get a good shot.

I am so glad Spring has Sprung. Winter was making me super- depressed. I had to wash my car yesterday just to remove the pollen grime from it.

Spring means much more outdoor activities and this year I signed both boys up for soccer. All I've heard from Nathan all school year is "I can't wait to play soccer this year!" I promised him that if he tried to control his upsets at school that he could do more things. Josh thought Dylan was too young and would not participate and he was almost right. We got there and I was like "Ok, Dylan go on out there" He was like "no" and looked like he would cry. I told him to sit and watch the other kids for a few and the coach came up and talked him into joining the others. He said after practiced that he was sorry and that he LOVED playing soccer. Whew.

Nathan is doing OK. I am getting really ticked at the school for not putting their foot down with him. They seem to continue to allow to do what he wants. If he has an outburst or upset they just take him out and allow him to go play. I wish they would punish him. Make him sit in the hall where it's boring, not play games on the computer. It's frustrating and there is hardly any communication. Things are so much different from when I went to school there. But o' course those were the days when parents could spank their kids without having to worry about a social worker knocking on your door. *sigh*

He's been diagnosed with a panic disorder and quite possibly bipolar disorder as well. The doctor doesn't like to diagnose children that are so young with pediatric bipolar disorder. She says it's a catch-all and often times it's just a parenting and/or discipline problem. I feel in my heart that it's going to come back to this.
I will miss Dylan's teacher so much and I know he will too. I believe she truly loves him. He doesn't seem to grasp that he will get a new teacher next year, he thinks she will go with him to 1st grade. lol. This happens when you have the same teacher for 2 years I guess. Dylan gets very attached to his teachers and friends. He makes 2 best friends at the beginning of the year and keeps the same 2 all year...making them "I love you" cards and drawing them pictures at home to take with him to school to give to them. This year it was Haeden and Jake. They were inseperable. I think that's incredibly sweet.
